Welcome to Cottonwoodwomen

the Women's Ministry of Cottonwood Baptist Church

Our purpose is to encourage women to pursue a growing, passionate relationship with God through support, fellowship and discipleship. We strive to provide many opportunities to help women grow in relationship with Christ; to live the abundant life that Jesus promised, a life of joy and freedom, and to have relationships that are healthy and fulfilling.

Every week we have ministry opportunities that will help you to be the strong woman of faith that you are meant to be.

Check out the weekly ministry events, and the special events that are coming up.  Check with us often, because we are always up to something new.

 November Bible Study

Cheerful, Generous Giving for Joyful, Rewarding Living

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”   Mal 3:10

God promised blessings that overflow when we bring our tithes to Him.  What are the principles that govern tithes, offerings, the first fruit, redemption, blessing and curses? We will look at the guidelines God gives concerning financial stewardship, giving, and true blessing.

Wednesday Night Ladies Class

 Jesus’ Keys to Happiness

It is not bad to want to be happy, we just need to understand what that really means. Jesus has a definition of happiness that is radically different. He spoke of what will bring true happiness in Matthew 5.

Join the ladies class as we look at what will make us truly happy.

Wednesday nights, 7:00-8:00pm, in room 330.

Ladies Sunday School Class

This class is a sweet fellowship of women of all ages, single and married, who offer love and support to each other and to everyone who comes. The class is a mixture of prayer and fellowship, and in-depth  Bible Study.

Every Sunday morning at 9:15.

Ladies Book Club

Join a group of ladies as we read through a book and meet weekly to discuss what we read. We will meet every Friday morning at 10am, at the home of Deb Scoville, 608 North Grafton, Dublin.

The first book we will read is Captivating, by John and Staci Eldredge. Most women think they have to settle for a life of efficiency and duty, chores and errands, striving to be the woman they feel they outght to be but often feeling they have failed. The message of Captivitaing is that the desires you had as a little girl and the longings you still feel as a woman are telling you of the life God meant you to live.  He offers to come now, as the Hero of your story--to restore your feminine heart and release you to live as a woman, fully alive. A woman who is truly captivating!

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, That I may gain Christ...  forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,           I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.      Phil 3:8-14
